Hello! My name is Ross Fogarty and I am a third generation trade-qualified upholsterer with almost 30 year’s experience in the trade.
I began working in the family upholstery business, developing my craft, for the first six years of my career until the business was sold. I was then employed as a motor trimmer by a national coach company for the following five years before opening my own upholstery business in Wangaratta, in regional Victoria.
For the next eight years the business upholstered everything from kitchen chairs, to club lounges, antique chairs with diamond-buttoned backs, car seats and interiors, and more. The business handled a wide range of products in that period and developed a reputation for quality work and reliable service. After this time in the trade, I decided to sell the business to one of my employees.
Still with a passion for upholstery, I taught upholstery to the general public at the local Centre for Continuing Education after hours for a number of years, passing my skills on to others with an interest in the trade.
My years of experience and family business practices gives me a unique opportunity to offer you our upholstery advice for free.
